Fire is used again to get our overweight friend Eggbert into a tight spot. Eggbert introduces the concept of air pressure and leads us to the amazing Bernoulli effect which causes small and large balls to float in mid-air. Finally in the ice portion of this event we will startle the students with amazing experiments using frozen carbon dioxide gas at -109 degrees F.
ii. Spin, Pop & Boom: This thrilling special event will explore a combination of chemistry and physics. Audiences will be amazed by our colour change demonstration, awed as the Mad Scientist creates an extra hand to help with our experiments, witness a number of exothermic reactions that will produce a Genie Out of a Bottle and a Giant Foam Snake. The fundamental forces of planet earth will be summoned as the Mad Scientist turns a glass of water upside-down without spilling a drop! We will also challenge the odds with a bungee jumping glass bottle!
iii. Up, Up, & Away: Let our Mad Scientist teach you about the many uses of that much misunderstood state of matter, gas. After a Mad Science magic trick we treat our audience to a series of experiments which demonstrate the power of gas. Volunteers from the audience attempt to pull apart the amazing Magdeburg sphere, launch a hot air balloon, and use Papa vortex to put out a candelabrum. This event concludes with our own dinosaur sneeze from Jurassic Park.
