b.      Bug Spray:  Unfortunately, we need to plan for bugs.

c.       Flashlight:  This will be critical for getting out back to the camping area.

d.      Food: For Friday night, bring something simple or eat before you go.  For Saturday morning, it is up to you.  Some do cereal, some cook, and some break down and head out for breakfast.  If you plan to cook for breakfast, you’ll need to bring your own cooking supplies.  The packs/dens will have marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate for s’mores at the campfire.  You can bring additional things if you wish.

e.      Sleeping: Bring your own tent, sleeping bags, pillows, pads or cots, etc.

a.      Need to pick which show

                                       i.      Fire & Ice: In the land of Fire and Ice our Mad Scientist starts with a magic trick which uses fire to make a card disappear and magically reappear.  Fire is used again to get our overweight friend Eggbert into a tight spot.  Eggbert introduces the concept of air pressure and leads us to the amazing Bernoulli effect which causes small and large balls to float in mid-air.  Finally in the ice portion of this event we will startle the students with amazing experiments using frozen carbon dioxide gas at -109 degrees F.

ii.      Spin, Pop & Boom: This thrilling special event will explore a combination of chemistry and physics. Audiences will be amazed by our colour change demonstration, awed as the Mad Scientist creates an extra hand to help with our experiments, witness a number of exothermic reactions that will produce a Genie Out of a Bottle and a Giant Foam Snake. The fundamental forces of planet earth will be summoned as the Mad Scientist turns a glass of water upside-down without spilling a drop! We will also challenge the odds with a bungee jumping glass bottle!

iii.      Up, Up, & Away: Let our Mad Scientist teach you about the many uses of that much misunderstood state of matter, gas.  After a Mad Science magic trick we treat our audience to a series of experiments which demonstrate the power of gas.  Volunteers from the audience attempt to pull apart the amazing Magdeburg sphere, launch a hot air balloon, and use Papa vortex to put out a candelabrum.  This event concludes with our own dinosaur sneeze from Jurassic Park.
