  1. Town Fair and Parade – Saturday Sept 8th: Noon – 6 or 9 PM
    1. How did it go/what should we do different next year?

                                                              i.      Great

                                                            ii.      Would be nice to get a float next year if possible

                                                          iii.      Need to make sure kids wear uniforms

                                                          iv.      Handing out candy to cubs as we went worked well

                                                              i.      Went well

                                                            ii.      Sign on door welcoming people to know they are in the right place

                                                          iii.      Bulletin board with pictures, pack flag

                                                            v.      Recommend no kids at den setup or have Mike Eno go and play with kids

 

  1. September Pack Meeting - September 28/29, 7:00 – Campfire - Wason Pond
    1. How did it go/what should we do different next year?

                                                              i.      Lot of fun, kids had a great time

                                                            ii.      Hard to find location

    1. What should we do different next year?

                                                              i.      Get closer to bridge

                                                            ii.      Ted will see if we can get a better spot

                                                          iii.      If we have the same spot, set up ahead of time to clear area and set up more lights along the path.

                                                          iv.      Keep people around for marshmallows

                                                            v.      Bring flags

                                                          vi.      Bring fire bucket

 

  1. October Pack Meeting - October 19, 7:00 – Audubon in Auburn
    1. From Last Month

                                                               i.      Sue has us scheduled

                                                             ii.      Meet at Massabesic Audubon at 7:00

                                                            iii.      Break into two groups.  Each group will have 1 hour session on Frogs, other will do scavenger hunt in the classroom area.  Do awards at end.

                                                           iv.      $65 for first 25 kids, $1 per child for additional (Dick bring a check)

                                                             v.      Nancy will put directions on the newsletter.

    1. Updates

                                                              i.      Directions to Audubon – Done

1.      121 North into Auburn, past Calef Lake Campground

2.      Left on Wilson Crossing Rd (at Church)

3.      Right at first stop sign on Spofford Rd (by fire station)

4.      Audubon Rd. is on Right, look for small signs along side of rd.  If you get to Rt. 28 Bypass, turn around, Audubon will be on left less than Ό mile.

                                                            ii.      Is there a maximum number?- Paid for 50.

                                                          iii.      Awards after meeting.  1-hour sessions for frogs.

                                                          iv.      Feel free to show up a little early

 

  1. November Pack Meeting – November 16, 7:00 – Falconry - Chester Academy
    1. Need to schedule falconry person

                                                              i.      Dick is working on this.  She cannot do flight demo on Nov. 16.

                                                            ii.      Dick will check to see if we can do it on January 18.  If so, Ted will try to get the MPR for the meeting.

    1. Need any details from that person for special considerations

                                                              i.      Needs her assistant to do flight demonstration.

    1. Other?

                                                              i.      Contest that Den brings food for a food basket and best looking food basket wins a prize.

                                                            ii.      Sue will find out if there is someone we can give food to.  Dick will check too.
