  1. Town Fair and Parade – Sept 9: Noon
    1. Notes from last month

                                                              i.      No Booth

                                                             ii.      Do we want to March in the parade?

1.      Yes, Sue will set it up with Deb Farrington

2.      Den Leaders, contact dens and let them know.

3.      Ted will call and invite May Scouts to parade.

    1. Follow-Up – Status from last month, what is left

                                                              i.      Candy – Sue will get some candy to throw

                                                            ii.      Deb is going to decorate the flatbed (Sue will bring some Cub Scout stuff to Deb).

                                                          iii.      Meet at Town Office at 11:30.

 

  1. Girl Scouts recruiting activity at Wason Pond (Campfire)
    1. How did it go?

                                                              i.      Got 1 new Tiger

                                                            ii.      Eric goofed up the invite with a mail failure

                                                          iii.      Dick had wrong date in head and didn’t realize until Saturday

 

  1. New Scout Sign-up – Sept 15th, 7:00 – 8:30 – Chester Academy Cafeteria
    1. Staffing

                                                              i.      Eric may be able to go but may be out of town for work

                                                            ii.      Ted will go

                                                          iii.      Kevin will go

    1. Supplies

                                                              i.      Ted will bring scout and leader registration forms

                                                            ii.      Eric will bring or send talent sheets and Uniform sheets

                                                          iii.      Eric will bring laptop with pictures if he can go

    1. Town Signs

                                                              i.      Melissa Stinson will do the town signs. – Done

                                                            ii.      Have Melissa hang Cub Scout recruiting signs in town.  Put sign-up info and web site on form.

    1. Flyers for school

                                                              i.      Eric will make flyers for school and distribute to classes - Done

    1. Girl Scouts interested in doing this jointly again

                                                              i.      Kevin will let Nancy know our dates. - Done

    1. Handouts (also send to boys who already signed up)

1.      Sue will reserve a room at school

                                                            ii.      Melissa will have scouts from May bring $$ to den setup

                                                          iv.      Buy Cub Scout Leader Books for new leaders and Katie

                                                            v.      Buy 3 Webelos Leader books

                                                          vi.      All current scouts need to fill out new forms and pay with den leader.  Include Den number and leader on the form and turn in by Den Setup

    1. Nancy sent out advancement forms.  Must turn in at committee meeting or email by committee meeting to receive den advancements.  Any questions?

    1. Do we want to put any $$ toward camp?

                                                              i.      We will do the donation but the pack will do a prize.

    1. Popcorn sheets for den

                                                              i.      Done, rest will go out at Pack meeting (Hanlon’s and Murray’s den still need them)

                                                              i.      Dick is going to get change for Mary (2) $50 banks.

    1. Add a donation can that says “send a kid to camp”, this money will be used to help send kids in the pack to camp (use as a scholarship, nominated through den leaders – award at Blue and Gold banquet)

                                                              i.      Dick is in charge of getting cans decorated.

    1. Any scout who spends at least 4 hours at show ‘n’ sell gets a prize from pack (figure out prize at next committee meeting) – Ted will check into mess kits.

  1. Fall Camporee October 13 – 15 at Camp Carpenter

    2. Register by Sept. 23 for discount ($2.50 adults, $7.50 kids)
    3. $11.75 after Sept. 23
    4. Sue will be in charge of getting people to sign up.

 

  1. New Leader training October 28, 8:15 to 4:00 at Camp Carpenter

                                                          iii.      Open house Sept. 30 at Camp Carpenter all kids to see what they do at camp – great for new scouts. Ted will announce at den setup.
