WHAT IS CUB SCOUTING? Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America has helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. It is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first grade through fifth grade. Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting. Currently, Cub Scouting is the largest of the BSA's three membership divisions.
The Advancement Plan
Bobcat. The Bobcat rank is for all boys who join Cub Scouting. They must earn this rank before any other.
Webelos. This 2 year program is for boys who are in 4th and 5th grade. This is the first step in his transition from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. As he completes the requirements found in the Webelos Handbook, he will work on activity badges and become familiar with the Boy Scout requirements all leading to the Arrow of Light Award.

SCOUTING FOR FOOD Saturday, November 17th is the Scouting for Food Bag Pick-up Day. Scouts and parents wishing to help with our annual “Good Turn” should be at the scout room for route assignments starting at 8:30 AM. Please be safe when picking up the bags! Look both ways before crossing the road!
Please send all your good thoughts to our fellow Chester Boy Scout who was injured last Saturday during the bag drop-off. He is home from the hospital and doing fine. We are all so thankful that he will be OK!
